Blue Cross Blue Shield Association is a federation of 35 separate United States health insurance companies that provide health insurance in the United States to more than 106 million people.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) needed to improve their communication and Agile approach. A team of expert Agile coaches was deployed to streamline projects and support business initiatives by implementing and fine-tuning their Agile project management.
BCBSM was able to apply the Agile mindset to sunset old technology. This adoption process reduced task project cards by over 400% in eight months, increasing the capacity of the IT Practices Team exponentially. This allows BCBSM to work on additional projects and implementations.
